Terms of Service

Welcome to TrueFix Appliance Repair (“TrueFix”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the rules and conditions under which we offer appliance repair, installation, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By scheduling or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Engagement

  • By requesting our services, a service agreement is formed between you (the customer) and TrueFix.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your appliance and the issue at hand.
  • We commit to delivering professional repair or installation services with care and within a reasonable timeframe.

2. Scope of Services

  • TrueFix specializes in appliance repair, installation, and associated services as described on our website or communicated directly.
  • The scope of work is confirmed following the technician’s on-site diagnosis.

3. Diagnostic Service Call

  • A Diagnostic Service Call fee is required at the time of the first visit for each appliance.
  • This fee is applied toward the total cost of the approved repair.
  • The service call is non-refundable and non-transferable to other appliances.

4. Pricing & Payments

  • You’ll receive a quote for services before any work is carried out.
  • Full payment is due upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and e-transfers.
  • If additional parts or services are needed, we’ll inform you and proceed only with your approval.

5. Warranty Coverage

  • Standard Repairs: 6-month warranty on parts and labor.
  • Sealed System Repairs: 12-month warranty on parts and labor.
  • Warranty applies only to the work performed by TrueFix and does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized service, or unrelated issues.
  • Installed parts are final sale. Returns of unused or canceled parts are subject to:
    • 15% restocking fee
    • $30 shipping & handling fee (plus applicable tax)

Parts on backorder that are canceled will incur a 20% cancellation fee.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • TrueFix is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our liability is limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service.

7. Privacy Protection

  • We value your privacy and protect your personal information.
  • Refer to our [Privacy Policy] for details on how your data is collected and used.

8. Cancellation & Termination

  • Either party may cancel services at any time with written notice.
  • If services are terminated after work has begun, payment is still required for work completed and any non-returnable parts ordered.

9. Legal Terms

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
  • Any disputes will be handled in the courts of the Province of Ontario.

10. Updates to These Terms

  • TrueFix may update these Terms without prior notice.
  • Changes take effect once posted on our website. Continued use of our services confirms your acceptance.
